Obituary - Shirley Ann Pitts

Shirley Ann Pitts, 74, Bronaugh, MO passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Shirley was born April 25, 1946 in Carthage, MO to Verlin D. and Wilma (Barker) Orr. She was united in marriage to Harry “Red” Pitts on September 14, 1963 in Liberal, MO and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2018.

Shirley was raised in Carthage and Nevada and attended Nevada High School. She worked at Vernon County Mutual Insurance for a time, and then cleaned homes in the Bronaugh and Nevada area for a number of years.

Survivors include her adopted daughter, Amy Leonard (Clark), Milo, MO; nephews, Paul Pitts (Katie), Bronaugh, MO, Carl Ricketts (Kandette), Nevada, MO; niece, Lillie Ann (Pitts) Wingate (Doug), Nevada, MO; numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Ed Post officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home. Private interment will follow in Worsley Cemetery in Bronaugh.
