He graduated from La Cygne High School in the Class of 1940. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was united in marriage to Ruth Knapp in June of 1978. She preceded him in death November 26, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James, William and Jerald Massey. He was a member of the VFW and the Carpenters Union. Roy is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Graveside service will be held 2 pm Monday, October 12, 2020 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery, La Cygne, Kansas. Those attending are asked to wear masks and social distance.
