Upon checking the interior of the residence they located a deceased female who was identified at 57 year old Lori Chevalier of Peculiar, Missouri. The Peculiar Police Department requested activation of the Kanas City Metro Squad which was approved by their board of directors.
The Metro Squad along with Peculiar Police and Cass County Sheriff's Office developed a early lead in the investigation of a likely suspect Gerald Lee Chevalier also of Peculiar, Missouri.
On December 20th the case was presented to the Cass County Prosecutor Office and suspect Gerald Lee Chevalier was arrested and charged with one count of murder in the 2nd Degree and Armed Criminal Action.
Mr. Chevalier is being held in the Cass County Jail in Harrisonville on a $250,000 cash only bond.
