Beginning this morning (Jan 4) City of Nevada crews will begin picking up tree and limb debris from the recent ice storm. City crews can only pick up debris that is placed behind the curb and in accordance with the set-out guidelines.
Tree and limb debris set-out guidelines:
1. Tree and limb debris must be placed behind the curb within the street right-of-way. City crews cannot enter private property or back yards to collect debris.
2. Avoid stacking limbs on water meters. If meter readers can’t access the water meter they will have to estimate water usage for that month.
3. Tree debris that’s mixed with bulky waste won’t be collected.
4. Please keep limbs out of the street.
The City Compost site at Jefferson & Douglas is open for Nevada residents to discard tree and limb debris. Call Public Works at 417.448.5114 for more information.
