Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made seven arrests and took multiple reports during the weeks of December 29, 2020 through January 4, 2021.
Arrests
Bryan Mckim- On December 29th, Bryan Mckim, 46, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a Misdemeanor charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Bryan was booked and released pending formal charges.
The arrest was made when a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call for service in a regards to a vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Bryan Mckim, who was taken into custody after stating he had been huffing Air Duster.
Karen Burch - On December 30th, Karen Burch, 70, Osceola, was arrested on a Felony charge of Domestic Assault - 2nd Degree. Karen was booked and released pending formal charges.
The arrest was made when St. Clair County deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a possible domestic. It was reported that Karen Burch assaulted her granddaughter, and Karen was taken into custody.
Cristan Harris - On December 31st, Cristan Harris, 38, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for a Felony charge of Tampering With a Witness in a Felony Prosecution. The bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.
The arrest was made when a St. Clair County deputy received information that Cristan had threatened to damage the property of and sue, a witness in a Felony Prosecution if he/she did not get a falsified statement notarized.
Dakota Johnson - On January 1st, Dakota Johnson, 27, Humansville, was arrested on a Felony charge of Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, and a Felony charge of Driving While Revoked/Suspended. Dakota was booked and released pending formal charges.
The arrest was made when a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Dakota was the driver of for an equipment violation. K-9 Havik was called, who alerted to the odor of narcotics. The deputy performed a search of the vehicle at this time and located a small plastic bag with a crystal substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Corey Smith - On January 2nd, Corey Smith, 31, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a Felony charge of Domestic Assault - 2nd Degree, a Felony charge of Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, and a Misdemeanor charge of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Corey was held on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.
The arrest was made when St. Clair County deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a domestic in progress. Upon arrival, deputies took Corey Smith into custody and after they received verbal consent to search the house, St. Clair County deputies discovered multiple pieces of paraphernalia and small baggies that all field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Paul Evans - On January 2nd, Paul Evans, 31, Osceola, was arrested on a Felony charge of Unlawful Use of a Weapon - Subsection 5 - While Intoxicated - Loaded Weapon, and a Misdemeanor charge of Domestic Assault - 4th Degree - 1st or 2nd Offense. Paul was held on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.
The arrest was made when St. Clair County deputies responded to a domestic in progress. Paul was taken into custody for shoving Brianna Townsend and illegally discharging a firearm while intoxicated.
Korey Wegner - On January 3rd, Korey Wegner, 34, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for a Misdemeanor charge of Assault - 4th Degree - Pursuant to Subdivision (3), a Misdemeanor charge of Kidnapping - 3rd Degree, and a Misdemeanor charge of Stealing. The bond was set at $7,500 cash only.
The arrest was made when a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call in regards to a suspicious person, later identified as Korey Wegner, whom was refusing to leave the property and was being highly aggressive to the property owners.
