The Kansas State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2008 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by 52 year old Richard J. Coffey of Fulton, Kansas was westbound when the bike crossed over the centerline of traffic and struck the 2007 Chevrolet Truck driven by 37 year old Matthew S. Vanpelt of Raymore, Missouri head on.
Mr. Coffey was pronounced dead at the scene of this accident and he was transported to Schneider Funeral Home. Mr. Vanpelt wasn't injured in this accident.
