John grew up in Deerfield. He graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1963 then attended Pittsburg State University where he received a Masters’ Degree. John worked throughout his life as an electrician for REA in Iola, KS retiring in 1982 due to a disability. He continued working in the family business operating Trailblazer Steakhouse for several years.
Survivors include his wife Billie of the home; four children, Ronnie Bunn (Tammie), Deerfield, Susan Chadd (Steve), Deerfield, Jennifer Ellis (John), Nevada, Beth Sandness (Rick), Kincaid, KS; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three sisters; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, JB Bunn; and one sister, Jamie Crossland.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
