The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada driven by 97 year old Thomas A. Wommack of Springfield, Missouri traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment.
Mr. Wommack sustained serious injuries and he was transported by Garden City EMS to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by J's Southland Tow.
