Visitation will precede the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Appleton City Cemetery.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church and may be left at Hill & Son Funeral Home or sent to the church at 214 E. 3rd St., Appleton City, MO 64724.
Royline Mae Dixon, daughter of Roy Fulton and Luva Mae (Stone) Allinson, was born at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler, Missouri on November 15, 1934, and was the first baby in her family to be born in a hospital. She departed this life at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri July 29, 2021, at 86 years of age.
Royline attended Appleton City Schools and lived in Appleton City all her life. She was united in marriage to Clyde Keith Dixon February 9, 1952, and they were blessed with four children. Royline was always busy raising her family as well as doing many other activities. She worked at Ellett Hospital for about five years as a nurse. She was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church being a choir member since 1973 and performing in 40 Christmas Vesper services and 40 Easter Cantatas; she was a UMW member, Sunday school teacher and helped prepare funeral dinners for many years. She was involved with the Green Valley Club early in her married life and later was proud to have been a part of a group who put together and made crafts with the residents of the local residential care facility in Appleton City.
Throughout her life, Royline had made 30 full sized quilts and 30 baby quilts. She was proud of all the numerous stitches she’d sewed and shared making that many quilts for others. She was always cheerful, helpful, had a kind word, a smile, and a story to share.
Preceding Royline in death were her parents; her husband; her brothers, Bob Allinson and Gerald Allinson (Evelyn); her sisters: Doris Eye (Paul), Mary Kopp (John), Fay Clark (C.B.) and Betty Tindall (Don).
Survivors include her four children: Robert Dixon (Karen), Randy Dixon (Kathryn), Pamela Elsmore (Pat) and Marcia Raines (Ronnie); her grandchildren: Shasta Hetherington (Jack), Devin Dixon, Cody Dixon (Mandy), Courtney Dixon, Colby Bourland (Sarah), Katie Koshko, Colton Bourland (Maggie), Kristin Kruczyk (Andy), Hannah Raines and Hailey Raines; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Allinson; and a sister-in-law, Louise Allinson.
