The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2020 Chevrolet driven by 30 year old Delbert L. Hannah of Archie, Missouri began to overcorrect after passing uninvolved traffic, vehicle traveled into the oncoming lane and struck a 2020 Dodge Ram driven by 61 year old Donald E. Beckerdite of Raymore, Missouri head-on.
Mr. Hannah was pronounced dead at the scene of this accident and was transported by the medical examiners office. Mr. Beckerdite sustained serious injuries and was transported to Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene of this accident by J's Southland Tow of Raymore. This is Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 56th fatality of the year 2021.
