The Henry County Health Center has received confirmation from the State Public Health Department of another death due to complications related to COVID-19.
This patient was hospitalized at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO at the time of their death. This Henry County resident was a 60-year-old female from the town of Clinton. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Henry County to 28.
“The most difficult part of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is losing our residents to this virus,” said the Henry County Health Center Administrator, Peggy Bowles. “We know that everyone is weary and tired and would like for COVID to go away. But, in order for us see a reduction in cases and deaths in our county, more residents will need to be vaccinated.
If you are unable to be vaccinated, we ask that you follow the CDC recommendations of social distancing, washing hands, wearing a mask when unable to distance, and staying home when you are ill. It is the simple things that will help reduce the spread of this disease, and could potentially save the lives of your family members.”
