Tommy grew up in St. Clair County Missouri and later came to Nevada. He worked in several restaurants in the Nevada area. He worked as a custodian at Vernon County Court House until his retirement.
Survivors include his three children, Cory Payton, El Dorado Springs, MO, Shawn Payton, Kearney, MO and Melissa Jones, Richards, MO; siblings, Betty Slater, Wichita, KS, Earl Payton and his wife Lynn, Charleston, MO and David Payton and his wife Margaret, Milo, MO; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma, his parents and one brother, George Payton.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
