Osage Valley Electric Cooperative warns of scam!

Unfortunately this scam just doesn't seem to go away. We have recently had an increase in calls reporting that they have received a call claiming they are from the electric utility and that service is due to be disconnected soon if payment is not received immediately. 

One caller even report someone knocking on their door demanding payment. OVEC employees will never ask for credit card information over the phone or in the field. 

 Always call our office to confirm. Be sure to call our phone number (660-679-3131) and not one provided to you by the caller.
