Shooting in Amsterdam

On 12/31/21 at 1107 pm the Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a male subject being shot. The call was at a residence on NW Elm Street in the city limits of Amsterdam.

On arrival deputies found one male subject suffering from a gunshot. The suspect in the shooting was identified by witnesses to the shooting.

A short time later the suspect was taken into custody at a location across town. There are no other suspects being sought in reference to this shooting.
