The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2003 Pontiac Vibe driven by 61 year old Stephen C. Stover of Elkins, Arkansas struck the 2000 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 48 year old Hilda M. Martinez of Carthage, Missouri causing the Pontiac to overturn and eject Mr. Stover from the vehicle.
Stephen C. Stover sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by helicopter to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin Missouri for treatment.
