Obituary - Brady Raymond Johnson

Brady Raymond Johnson, age 15, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022.

Brady was born Sunday, May 21, 2006 at 5:30 a.m. in Overland Park, KS. He was the first child of Brian Johnson and Stephanie (Gilbertson) Johnson.

Currently a sophomore at Belton High School, Brady loved being with friends, driving around town and just hanging out. Like most teenagers, he also enjoyed playing video games.

As a child, Brady played most sports recreationally, including soccer, basketball, baseball and football. He played both soccer and football competitively, and later went on to play high school football. Recently he enjoyed hunting with a good friend. Brady traveled often with his family and enjoyed riding the waves in the ocean, making new friends on cruise ships, or soaring to new heights on thrilling roller coasters.

Brady was a great big brother to his siblings, Sawyer and Aubree. Brady enjoyed giving Sawyer a hard time, as only big brothers can do. He would often pick Aubree up and throw her over his shoulders or spin her around while she laughed. Brady was always willing to help and defend his siblings.

Brady had an infectious, genuine smile that could light up a room. He loved to make people laugh and was a great storyteller. He was a loyal friend and made sure his friends knew that he loved them. Brady gave the best hugs you could ever imagine. He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Brady leaves behind his loving parents, Brian and Stephanie Johnson; brother, Sawyer Johnson; sister, Aubree Johnson; maternal grandparents, Margie Gilbertson and Ray Gilbertson (Elizabeth Higham); paternal grandparents, Thomas Johnson (Pam Johnson) and Paula Huss; uncle, Eric Gilbertson; and two cousins, Savannah and Brooklyn Gilbertson, and countless friends.
