Huell "Russ" Warren has passed away and he leaves behind a tremendous legacy not only here but other radio stations where he worked early in his career.
Russ was legendary for his abilities and the contact list he had for finding news information. As our longtime News Director he was here at the radio stations almost every day, not because he had to be but, because it was his passion. For the last few years, when his health would no longer allow him to put in the time he once did, he was still here almost every morning writing news stories and doing newscasts. It was his purpose and he did it until the very end.
We will miss Russ and we know a lot of you will miss hearing him each morning doing the newscasts he loved to do. We know he's now in a better place.
Rest in peace Russ, we will miss you.
