He received a Bachelor's Degree from Pittsburg State University. He was a member of the Mound City United Methodist Church. He was a well read individual who had a great interest in the history of Mound City.
Nick enjoyed spending time with his friends and the people of Mound City. He was a committee chair for the Paris Township. He was preceded in death by his father. Nick is survived by his sister, Missy Wurtz, brother, Chris Wurtz, two nieces Tristian Smith(Brandon) and Jenae Daniels(Adam), extended family and many friends.
A gathering to celebrate Nick's life will be held 10:30 am, Saturday March 5, 2022 at the Mound City United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Friday, March 4 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Nick will be laid to rest in the Linnville Cemetery.
