Obituary - Kevin Randall LaPittus

Kevin Randall LaPittus, age 51, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Friday, February 4, 2022. He was born on January 8, 1971 in Encino, California the son of Morton LaPittus and Patty (Greenhill) LaPittus.

Kevin grew up in the San Diego area and graduated from Torrey Pines High School. He worked for the Encinitas School District as the Director of Child Nutrition for 18 years.

In 2014 he moved with his fiance Stacey to Warsaw, Mo. and opened the R Bar & Grill. Kevin quickly became an important part of the Lake area and its development. He served twice as the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce President and his drive and infectious personality were vital in the growth of this small community that he quickly came to love. He also was a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion (Son of).

Kevin enjoyed hanging out with his many friends, traveling, going to concerts, hunting, fishing and playing with his tractor out on their farm. He liked sports and played hockey and softball. He loved his family and the most important time was that he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Kevin is preceded in death by a brother, Greg LaPittus.

He is survived by his fiance Stacey Taylor, of Warsaw, a daughter, Blake LaPittus and fiance Christian of Escondido, California, two step-children; Brittney Taylor and fiance Jordan of Lenexa, Kansas and Bryan Taylor of Warrensburg, Mo, his mother, Patty LaPittus, of Cardiff, California, his father Morton LaPittus and his wife Susan, of La Quinta, California, four grandchildren; Asher Garcia, Serenity Shuping, Chase Rice and Paisley Taylor, two brothers; Jeff LaPittus of Palm Beach Florida and Todd LaPittus and wife Jennifer, of Cedar Park, Texas and a sister, Arianne LaPittus-Galluccio and husband David of Encinitas, California, a nephew and two nieces.

A Celebration of his life will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements for his cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
