Pedestrian struck and killed in rural Cass County

On February 19th around 10:26 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a pedestrian that was struck in the northbound lanes of Missouri 7 Highway at Walker Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2014 Jeep Wrangler driven by 23 year old Jacob E. Gudenkauf of Peculiar, Missouri was northbound on Missouri 7 Highway when 44 year old Micah L. Rogers of Lees Summit, Missouri walked into the path of the Jeep and was struck.

Micah L. Rogers was pronounced dead at the scene of this accident and he was transported to Frontier Forensics.
