Weather Alert from the Bates County Sheriff's Office

Bates County is under a winter storm warning until 6 p.m. on Thursday. After midnight we are expected to get 4 to 6 inches of snow and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch. 

Winds could gust up to 35 mph. Traveling could be very difficult with patchy blowing snow. 

If you must travel keep a blanket, flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
