The week will start out with warmer temperatures Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday will be much warmer than normal for this time of year with strong south winds gusting to 40 mph. Temperatures begin to cool down Wednesday with rain becoming widespread by the afternoon hours.
As temperatures fall Wednesday evening and overnight, that rain will transition to a mix and then to snow. There is still a very high amount of uncertainty with this forecast.
Not only is the track of the system still uncertain, but the critical temperatures that determine precipitation types, both at the surface and aloft, are uncertain as well.
