Coach Hannah has been the head volleyball coach at Butler High School since 2016. During this time, her teams have accumulated 92 wins, and in 2018 her team set the school record for most wins in a season. She is looking forward to eclipsing the 100-win mark (and many more thereafter) while coaching our Cardinals!
Kassidy attended school at the University of Missouri where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. She also holds a Masters of Education in Administration from William Woods University.
Kassidy, who will also be teaching at Clinton Intermediate School next fall, has learned a lot about teaching through the years, as both of her parents are educators. Her father, who has coached football for 25 years, has also been a big influence on her coaching career. Kassidy and her fiance will be married next spring.
Activities Director, Alex Johnson looks forward to the impact Coach Hannah will make in our district, “Kassidy brings a wealth of volleyball knowledge, expertise, and pedigree to Clinton. More importantly, however, I know that Kassidy is going to help grow our student-athletes into young men and women of character who will represent the Clinton School District well. I am thrilled to have Kassidy on board and know that she will have an immediate impact on the culture change we are infusing through education-based athletics and activities.”
Coach Hannah is excited to begin making an impact in the lives of our Cardinals, “The game of volleyball has been such a positive part of my life for so long, and it means so much to me that I get to continue being around the sport while working with young women and playing a role in their lives. I believe the time spent playing sports and being involved in extracurriculars is invaluable in a young person's life.
When kids are involved and feel like they are a part of something bigger than themselves, it elevates every part of their life. It's important to me to influence young people to be kind, show up to places on time, do their homework, and talk kindly to their parents.
If all I've taught at the end of the season are the X’s and O’s about volleyball, I don't believe I have done my job.” Welcome aboard Kassidy. It’s a GREAT day to be a Cardinal indeed!
