Obituary - Wesley Elmo Medlen

Wesley Elmo Medlen, age 85 of La Cygne, Kansas passed away at his home on March 5, 2022. Wesley was born on April 4, 1936 the son of Calvin E. and Lela Ellen (Craven) Medlen at Spring Hill, Kansas. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Wesley also was a heavy equipment operator with Local 101. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and playing the steel guitar.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Laura Medlen and a granddaughter, Abrianna Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve of the home, two daughters, Cathy (Dan) Heiber and Teresa (Dennis) Damron, four stepsons, Todd, Tracy, Trent and Travis Roberts, one stepdaughter, Tara Moylan, three brothers, Wayne (Mary) Medlen, Dean (Alma) Medlen and Randy (Carol) Medlen, four sisters, Louise (Roy) Swearingen, Freda Medlen, Linda (Larry) Meyer, Carol (Bob) Shea, five grandsons, Tyler and Justin Heiber, Ben Damron, Tyson Roberts, Carter Moylan, five granddaughters, Leah Roberts and fiance, Codie Derry, Jordan Roberts, Taylor (Jon) Kinney, Chloe Roberts and Grace Moylan and one great granddaughter, Evelynn Derry.

Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm, Saturday, March 12 at the Rutlader Outpost Cowboy Church. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time at the church. Burial will follow in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Rutlader Outpost Cowboy Church and may be sent in care of Schneider Funeral Home P.O.
