Iola Kansas woman injured after striking deer in the roadway near Deerfield

On April 26th around 6:40 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Vernon County along with Vernon County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on US 54 Highway around 1/2 mile west of Deerfield.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2000 Lincoln driven by 28 year old Sarah R. Bell of Iola, Kansas struck a deer in the roadway.

Sarah R. Bell sustained minor injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment.
