Funeral services for J.D. will be Wednesday April 27th at 10:00 AM at the Bland-Brumback Funeral Home with Burial in Mt Olive Cemetery, Marionville at 2:00 PM. The visitation Tuesday at 6 to 7 PM in the funeral Home
Jimmie Dan “J.D.” Starbuck passed away peacefully in his hometown of Stockton, Mo on April 23, 2022 at the age of 86. J.D. was born to Bettie and Loy Starbuck on August 6th 1935 in Marionville Mo.
He graduated from Marionville High School. After graduation he married Norma (Wolfe) Starbuck and on June 1st they would have been married 65 years. Three kids in four years soon followed, Michael, David and Catherine.
J.D. served in the United States Army from June 1958 - May 1960. One of those years being served in Germany. J.D. accepted a position with the Mo. State Highway Patrol where he served 30 years and retired as Sergeant.
In addition to being a dedicated husband, father, papa and great grandfather, J.D. had the love for fast cars, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
J.D. was a member at Stockton First Southern Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
J.D is survived by his wife Norma (Wolfe) Starbuck, son Michael Starbuck and wife Edith of Rolla, Mo., son David Starbuck and Terri Dresch of Eldorado Springs, Mo., and one daughter Catherine Jean and husband Richard “Rick” of Springfield, Mo.; two granddaughters Clarissa and husband Kevin Funderburg, Megan Starbuck and four grandsons James Starbuck, Brian Jean and wife Makayla, Robert Starbuck, Kevin Jean and wife Whitney.
Three great grandkids, Everleigh, Oliver and Sutton. Along with Several other nieces, nephews. He was deeply loved by his entire family.
J.D joined his parents, Bettie and Loy Starbuck. His two brothers, Gene and Don, one sister, Opal in death.
