Structure Fire in Nevada

On April 28th around 7:43 a.m. the Nevada Fire Department responded to a report of possible smoke coming from a roof of a house located at 714 South Spring Street in Nevada.

When crews arrived on scene they found smoke coming from the roof and the attic vents. Crews were able to gain entry and get the owner's car out of the garage.

Access was found to the attic and the fire was extinguished. Cause of the fire was found to be an electrical short in the wiring of the home. No injuries were reported; no one was home at the time of the fire.
