Obituary - Donald Lee Barker

Donald Lee Barker, age 68, of Deepwater, Missouri passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow in the Deepwater Cemetery in Deepwater, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association and can be left in care of the funeral home.

Donald Lee Barker (Donnie) was born in Clinton, Missouri to William (Bill) and Frances (Hills) Barker on December 20, 1953. He grew up in Deepwater and Independence, Missouri. He was a 1973 graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence.

Donnie was employed at Waste Management, Allis Chalmers, and ATK former Lake City Ammunition Plant. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. Donnie enjoyed tinkering in his shop and loved junkin. Donnie’s top priority was his son Brandon.

Donnie is survived by his son Brandon Barker of Bates City, Missouri, his brothers, Rolla Gene (Jean) Barker, James (Butch) Barker and sister, Mary (Sissy) (Martin) Crowley and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
