Way to go Miss Martin

On Thursday May 5th Miami R-1 School District Superintendent Dr. Johnson called a surprise assembly at school, so Miss Martin could be surprised with a $300 check from a WGU representative.

"Last month I applied for a grant from WGU that was advertised on Fox4 News. Teachers in Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas could apply. I knew it was a long shot, but it gave me the idea to plan for an after-school STEM program.

I have always wanted to have a STEM club, but never knew where to start. I only asked for $300 because I knew that would help get some supplies for a couple STEM projects to get me started... Bring on the STEM projects next year!"
