As of 11 a.m., crews have restored power to more than 50% of customers affected and have reduced the number of outages from over 75,000 to under 30,000.
With significant damage to the area from the storms that moved through the area last night, assume any downed power lines are live and do not approach them.
Also be watchful for tree limbs that are in contact or could become in contact with power lines. Please stay at least 35 feet away from all downed lines or tree limbs on lines. Approaching lines to take photos of damage or attempting to move them is dangerous.
Wire down and damage assessment teams will continue their work through the morning and this afternoon. All available crews are restoring power and will continue working until all customers are back on. Additional crews have been brought in for assistance to help restore power as safely and quickly as possible.
