A memorial visitation will be held 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Mullinax Funeral Home, Drexel Chapel (816-657-4400).

Eloise was born on the 18th of July 1928 in Polo, Missouri, the eldest child of her parents Leslie Crouch Dunnington and Elizabeth Carol (Garner) Dunnington. She attended Drexel High School, Drexel, Missouri graduating in 1946. The following year she was joined in marriage to John Kenneth Westhoff.
She and John Lived on the Westhoff family farm in Bates County Missouri a few miles west and south of Drexel where they raised their two children, Olive Elizabeth and John Leslie. Eloise was very proud of the century farm and that she was able to keep it in the family until just recently.
Eloise was widowed when her husband died in 1983 following a prolonged neurologic illness inherited from his father and prevalent in the Westhoff family. She was a loving caretaker for many in the family and became a cherished and loved caretaker for many friends and family through the years including her father until his death at the age of 105 and her daughter who also suffered from the same illness as her husband.
In her later years she lived with her son and most recently with her granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Crouch Dunnington; her mother, Elizabeth Carol (Garner) Dunnington; her husband, John Kenneth Westhoff and her daughter, Olive Elizabeth Westhoff Derrington. She is survived by her two siblings Leslie Garner Dunnington and Erma Elizabeth Dunnington; Sister-in-law, Diana Dunnington; her son, John Leslie Westhoff; her daughter-in-law, Neva Jane Westhoff; her son-in-law, Kenneth L Derrington; nieces; Donna Westhoff, Lynn (Dunnington) Falkenberry, Marie Dunnington, Julie (Dunnington) Johnson; 5 grandchildren,17 great grandchildren, many cousins and friends.
