Probable Cause statements were submitted to the Barton County Prosecutor’s Office, and both were formally charged. Jesse Hammond is currently being held at the Cedar County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bond.
Kami Shepherd is being held at the Vernon County Jail in lieu of $500 bond. Hammond had an additional charge of drug paraphernalia at the time of his arrest.
In all cases of arrest, the charge is based on probable cause and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
