Two from Archie injured in Benton County crash

On July 19th around 12:45 p.m. the Missouri Highway Patrol in Benton County along with Benton County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on Route C just west of Route E in rural Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway says the accident occurred when the eastbound 2007 Ford Sport Trac driven by 84 year old Douglas M. Archer of Archie, Missouri traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence and utility pole. After impact the vehicle continued through a field and struck a tree before coming to rest.

Mr. Archer along with a passenger in his vehicle 81 year old Gayle Archer of Archie, Missouri both sustained injuries and both were transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton for treatment.
