Driver taken into custody after police chase ends in rural Butler

Around 11:00 p.m. last night the Butler Police Department along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies were involved in a pursuit that ended off of K Highway and CR NW 2 in rural southwest Butler.

The pursuit started on Ft. Scott Street in Butler when a officer attempted to pull over a 90s model blue Chevrolet truck. The truck failed to yield and traveled out 52 Highway west of Butler at a high rate of speed.

The subject fled the truck on foot on K Highway and was taken into custody a short time later without incident.
