Man seriously injured after being hit on lawn mower in Cass County

On October 2nd around 7:20 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a accident between a lawn mower and a car on Route B around 1 mile east of I-49 in rural Archie.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when 2014 Ford driven by 65 year old Deborah J. Bellis of Archie, Missouri overtook and struck the rear of the Ariens lawn mower driven by 26 year old Tristan M. Hart of Gower, Missouri ejecting Hart from the mower.

Mr. Hart sustained serious injuries and he was transported by air ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment. Deborah J. Bellis sustained minor injuries and she was treated at the scene of the crash.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the accident scene by J's Southland Tow.
