Laird was born July 9, 1959 in San Antonio, Texas to John and Jeanette Muha. While growing up he spent many summers and created many memories in Louisiana with his grandparents. He graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in Schertz, Texas.
He had a variety of jobs in the automotive industry and became friends with many co-workers. They described him as always being in a good mood and they always enjoyed working with him.
In 1998 Laird met Brenda McGill in Overland Park, KS and through this connection he became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They married on October 18, 1999 and then were sealed in the St. Louis LDS Temple in December 2001. They eventually had 5 wonderful children. They were homeschooled and raised in Drexel, MO. Laird loved the peaceful and quiet country life. He taught his kids to be self-sufficient, helping them learn all about mechanics, yard work, plumbing and always supported their activities at church.
Laird was preceded in death by his brothers Randy and Clint Muha. He is survived by 2 children from his first marriage, Jereline Williams and LJ (Loretta) Muha, along with his current wife Brenda McGill Muha and children, Allison (Scott) Janes, Austin Muha, Scott (Kasey) Muha, Brandon Muha, and Russell Muha. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
