The Bates County Historical Society and museum are accepting resumes for the position of Museum Director.
This is a part time position. Hours of employment will be determined through discussion with new museum director and the BCHS board members. Duties include but limited to, handling general office detail of mail, emails, phone and social medias regularly, ordering supplies, answering questions about histories or genealogy, docent/complex tours, some retail sales, receiving and organizing donations, organizing fund raising and social events to promote the museum, organizations of exhibits and cleaning of displays.
The position is provided by a non for profit organization. A self motivator and ease of working with volunteers is needed.
