The Fort Scott Kansas Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a garage on fire around midnight.
When fire crews arrived on scene they found heavy smoke and flames showing from he garage.
Firefighters made a defensive attack due to the integrity of the roof already being compromised. Fire was under control within the hour. No injuries reported.
Cause of fire was investigated by Deputy Chief Miles and Fire Chief Bruner.
