Mike was born in Clinton, February 12, 1945, the son of James Ransom and Dora Smith Hills. He attended school in Deepwater and then went on to work in the oil fields in Texas. After returning from Texas, Mike married Jeanie Moore DeLozier on July 28, 1991, in Deepwater. Mike had a vast knowledge in automotive repair, and co-owned M&G Used Cars, in Clinton, with his brother, Gene. After selling M&G Used Cars, he became a driver for Jim Falk Motors.
Whether it was hunting, riding his motorcycle, or out on the lake catching crappie, Mike loved the outdoors. He would never turn down a game of dominoes, 9-hole golf, or Sequence. If you ever played Sequence with Mike, you’re probably a proud owner of one of his homemade boards. Mike enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, usually from his recliner, with his sidekick, Gracie. Mike had a giving heart and was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ. He shared his love for Jesus with many people over the years through devotion and prayer. He never met a stranger and loved each of his friends as if they were his own family.
Mike is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jeanie, of the home; one brother, Monroe Hills; three children, Michelle Crawford, Debbie Dody and Tony DeLozier; nine grandchildren, Stephanie (Daniel) Bouse, Nathaniel (Tonya) Dody, Jeffery Cannon, Megan Henry, Aaron DeLozier, Dakota (Janiece) DeLozier, Robbie Holt, Taryn Holt, and Isaiah Hills; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor, Ray, Hayden, Kendrick, Aliya, Gabriel, and Wyatt; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Ann Hills, and Marsha Hills; a granddaughter, Deidre Henry; two siblings, Marge Wiggins, and Gene Hills; and a nephew, James Hills.
