Dog park in Belton closed due to dog bite

On 2/15/23 at around 4:30 p.m. Belton Animal Control responded to a dog bite at the Markey Park Dog Park. Upon arrival several dogs involved were no longer at the scene.

Due to the potential for rabies exposure the dog park will be closed for 10 days. This closure will be the entire 10 days unless the individuals and pets can be identified and contacted to confirm vaccinations.
