Garland Lee “Rowdy” Edwards was born on November 3, 1964 in Clinton, Missouri to Ruth Aldine “Dena” (Loyd) Edwards. He grew up and attended school in Clinton. He was an active child and soon earned the nickname “Rowdy”, the name he would bear for life.
From an early age he loved taking things apart to see how they worked, then putting them back together. He got better at this as he grew older, but the doorbell would never be the same.
He worked for Rival Manufacturing and the Henry W. Adkins Printing Company, where he made many friends.
Rowdy enjoyed music, spending time with friends and family and sharing meals with them, especially pizza. He always enjoyed tinkering with everything, including bicycles, cars and computer equipment.
He is preceded in death by his mother, maternal grandparents Joseph and Edna (Callahan) Loyd, and paternal grandparents Floyd and Pebble (Nance) Edwards.
He is survived by his companion, Theresa, of the home; a brother, Ken Easter, a sister, Cindy Curry (James); a son, Anthony Golden; a daughter, Michelle Barton (Lonnie) and 5 grandchildren; as well as numerous friends and other family members.
As per Rowdy’s wishes, he was cremated. Inurnment will be in Peaceful Home Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
