Nelda came to Nevada at a young age with her family. She graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1947. Nelda was a homemaker most of her life. At the age of 65 she began operating Spirit and Truth in Nevada where she continued working until the age of 85. She was a member of Community Christian Church in Nevada.
Survivors include two children, Sharon Turner (Norman), Bolivar, MO, and Jack McAdoo, Nevada; four grandchildren, Eric Turner (Jennifer), Bolivar, MO, Mark Turner, Bolivar, Jeffrey Ross Wilheim, Boston, MA, and Zackariah McAdoo, Republic, MO; and six great-grandchildren, Lydia, Hanna, Brooklyn, Brock, Brett, and Bree; and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Harlan, she was preceded in death by two sons, Joe McAdoo, and Nick McAdoo; and a daughter, Cathy Wilheim.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Newton Burial Park in Nevada with Pastor Jeff Robinson officiating. Friends may call Monday from morning until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
