Clinton man seriously injured in Henry County crash

On April 20th around 8:25 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County along with Henry County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on Route N around 1 mile north of CR NW 501 Road in rural Henry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the southbound 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 43 year old James T. Hetherington of Clinton, Missouri ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and fence.

Mr. Hetherington sustained serious injuries and was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.

James T. Hetherington was charged with the following charges 1.) Driving While Intoxicated - Chronic Offender 2.) No Insurance 3.) Failure to maintain right half of the roadway.
