Obituary - Linda L. Licher

Linda L. Licher of Montrose, Missouri, was born on July 25, 1946, the daughter of Ed and Adella (Kalwei) Licher. Linda loved reading, took joy in visiting with her friends, relished taking trips on the OATS bus, enjoyed watching movies, and delighted in her dogs. 

She was active in her church community as a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was part of the Altar Sodality and often lead the rosary before Mass. For many years she was also a member of the Golden Apples. 

Linda worked as a caregiver to the elderly throughout her life in long-term care facilities, privately, and finally through the Meals on Wheels program.

Linda, 76, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at Research Medical Center.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jim Licher. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Pat Licher, of Montrose, Missouri; five nieces: Amy and Dan Daugherty of Muncie, Indiana, Laura and Matt Peregoy of Sullivan, Missouri, Susan Licher of Blacksburg, Virginia, Monica Licher and Manu Sporny of Blacksburg, Virginia; and Maria Licher and Joseph Gaeddert of Blacksburg, Virginia; 11 great nieces and nephews: Spencer and Ephraim Daugherty, Ethan, Isaac, Adam, Eli, and Abigail Peregoy, Lonali and Naya Sporny, and Violet and Willow Gaeddert; and many other relatives and friends.

Her family would especially like to thank Martha and Ron Gragg for the extra care they gave her over the last few years and all the other community members that provided food, rides, grocery delivery, and visits during her illness.

Memorial Mass for Linda will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Montrose, MO.

Rosary will be held preceding Mass from 10:40 - 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held preceding the Rosary and Mass from 10:00 - 10:40 a.m. Inurnment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Montrose, MO

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to the St Clair County OATS or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
