Susan was a 1963 graduate of Raytown High School. She worked as purchasing agent for Fram, Allied Signal and Honeywell for 27 years, then for Platinum Aero Structure for a couple of years before retiring.
Susan enjoyed watching her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, bowling, reading and Chief’s football. She liked spending time with her family and having family and friends over for July 4th celebrations.
Survivors include her four children, Kenneth McKenzie (Tammy), Leavenworth, KS; Shalene McGowan (Brian), Appleton, AR; Rheagan Keith, Milo, MO; and Erinn Foster (Paul), Nevada; grandchildren, Kelsi Blew (Spencer), Leavenworth, KS, Bridget and Cristin McKenzie and Cody England, Las Vegas, NV, Bryson McGowan, Appleton, AR, Tracen and Kaylee Nelson, Milo, Connor Irwin, Nevada, Caitlin Miller (Loyd) AR, Eric McGowan, FL, and Aaron McGowan; great-grandchildren, Tillie, Danny, Murphy, and Maverick Blew and Weston Miller.
A Memorial Service will be,at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Roger Beach officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 prior to the funeral.
