Single lane closures scheduled for a portion of I-49 beginning April 17th in Cass County

CASS COUNTY – Crews will be making pavement repairs along northbound and southbound Interstate 49 between 163rd Street (Belton) to just north of Harrisonville beginning on Monday, April 17. Work will be overnight beginning at 8 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following mornings on both Monday, April 17th, and Tuesday, April 18th.

During this time, there will various single lane closures in both direction of I-49. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area, plan ahead, and consider alternate routes. All work is weather permitting. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike.

Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway. For more information about MoDOT news, projects or events, please visit our website at www.modot.org/kansascity.
