Today members of the Bates County Sheriffs Office took part in a wellness walk in honor of April being child abuse prevention month, the walk was intended to bring awareness to child abuse prevention in our community.
Members from the Butler Missouri Police Department , Butler Children’s Center, 27th district juvenile office, 27th district children's division and members of our community came out dressed in blue to walk around the Butler square at noon.
“Coming together as a team and as a community to combat and prevent child abuse and protect our community’s children is one of the many important roles any of us can play.
I am proud of the hard work each of these offices do daily to be a part of that” said Sheriff Chad Anderson.
