On May 10, 2023, a call was received at the Linn County Sheriff’s Office of a man walking about Blue Mound, Kansas threatening residents.
Deputies responded and learned that the alleged suspect, Jacob Bogard a white male who resides in Blue Mound was upset that his dog had died.
He was reported by residents to be acting irrational, threatening multiple subjects in Blue Mound, Ks. and accusing others of killing his dog. Bogard was threatening to shoot others specifically. Deputies sought Bogard for the alleged threats.
Bogard was located at a home on Walnut St. in Blue Mound, Ks. where he was taken into custody for the alleged threats. On May 12, 2023, Bogard appeared in the Linn County District Court where he was charged with Criminal Threat. Bogard remains in the Linn County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
