The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the southbound 2005 Nissan Xterra driven by 45 year old Joseph S. Batchelor of El Dorado Springs, Missouri traveled off the right side of the highway and struck a fence. He was taken to Citizens Memorial Hosptial in Bolivar for treatment of moderate injuries.
Joseph S. Batchelor was also arrested by the highway patrol on three felony counts for possession of a controlled substances including methamphetamine.
Mr. Batchelor was also charged with careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident, driving with a suspended license, no insurance and no seatbelt.
