 Fourth Inning Plays Key Role in Butler Junior Lady Bears Blow Out Over Appleton City

Butler Junior Lady Bears defeated Appleton City 12-2 on Wednesday thanks to nine runs in the fourth inning. Kallie-Ann K, Gabie R, Mylee B, Braelynn I, and Isabel B all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

In the first inning, Butler Junior Lady Bears got their offense started. Isabel drew a walk, scoring one run. Butler Junior Lady Bears pulled away for good with one run in the second inning. In the second Kallie-Ann singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Butler Junior Lady Bears notched nine runs in the fourth inning. Butler Junior Lady Bears's big inning was driven by singles by Kallie-Ann, Gabie, and Mylee, a walk by Isabel, and a double by Braelynn.

Braelynn led the Butler Junior Lady Bears to victory in the pitcher's circle. The pitcher allowed two hits and two runs over four innings, striking out 11 and walking one. Isabel threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. 

Harper led things off in the circle for Appleton City. The pitcher allowed three hits and three runs over three innings, striking out five. Kristin threw one and two-thirds innings in relief.

Butler Junior Lady Bears collected eight hits. Kallie-Ann, Gabie, and Kelsey J all collected multiple hits for Butler Junior Lady Bears. Kelsey, Gabie, and Kallie-Ann each collected two hits to lead Butler Junior Lady Bears.

Butler Junior Lady Bears tore up the base paths, as eight players stole at least two bases. Braelynn led the way with four. Mylee had the most chances in the field with 12. 

Jaiden led Appleton City with five stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 12 stolen bases. Ella made the most plays with three.
